Upload raw DNA

Have a VCF file? Turn it into a wellness report.

Whole-genome sequencing, exome panels, and lab exports all produce VCF files, and most consumer tools cannot read them. Helisoma parses standard VCF right in your browser and turns it into a wellness report with every study linked.

How it works

STEP 01

Get your VCF ready

Any plain .vcf up to 200 MB works, VCFv4 from a lab, a WGS provider, or a research kit. If yours is compressed (.vcf.gz), unzip it first. Multi-gigabyte whole-genome VCFs are too big to read in a browser; ask your provider for a sites-only or array-style export instead.

STEP 02

Add it to Helisoma

Your browser reads the file on your device and keeps it there. Only the small set of markers the report uses is sent to build your report.

STEP 03

Read it, then talk to it

Every replicated finding with honest effect sizes and linked studies, ready to connect to Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.

What your raw DNA data can tell you

The same file that produced your ancestry results holds hundreds of studied wellness markers. Your report reads the replicated ones and links the study behind every single card.

Works with every major test

The upload that is not an upload

Most DNA upload sites take your whole genome file and store it on their servers. Helisoma was built the other way around.

Questions people ask

Is it free to upload my raw DNA data?

The analysis is free: drop your file on helisoma.com and see real insights from your genome, no account needed. Unlocking the full report is a one-time $49 payment. There is no subscription, because the analysis runs once and the report stays yours.

Which raw DNA files can I upload?

Files from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, Nebula, Genotek all work, in .txt, .csv, .vcf or zipped form. The parser handles each provider's format and strand quirks automatically.

Is it safe to upload my DNA data here?

Your raw file is never uploaded at all. Your browser reads the file on your own device and sends only the small set of markers the report uses, well under a megabyte. We never receive or store the raw file, and you can delete your data at any time.

What will the report tell me?

Sleep and chronotype, caffeine response, nutrition markers like lactose tolerance and vitamin D, training and recovery, stress and mood leans, and longevity markers. Every card shows your genotype, the honest effect size, and a link to the study behind it. It is educational, not a medical diagnosis.

Can I use my DNA report with ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini?

Yes, and the setup is one-time either way. Claude connects live through an open standard called MCP and reads your report itself whenever a question needs it. In ChatGPT, Gemini, or Whoop Coach you attach the report PDF once, to a Project, a Gem, or a Coach chat, and it stays pinned as context.

Do you sell my genetic data?

No. We do not sell personal data, we never possess your raw file in the first place, and deleting your account removes the extracted markers and reports we hold for you.
