Drop the raw file from 23andMe, AncestryDNA or MyHeritage for a free analysis. Your browser reads it on your device, and in about a minute you get a plain-language interpretation of how you eat, train, sleep and think, with the study behind every finding.
Free analysis, no account. $49 once for the full report, no subscription.
Five areas of your life, each finding in plain words with the study behind it, and your own AI to talk it through. What shows up depends on which markers your test covers.
Request it from your DNA test and leave your email. We'll remind you in a week, when the file has usually arrived. Just that one email.
Uploading here does not mean sending us your file. The same fixed steps run for every file, with the real numbers at each one, and the full write-up is public at Methods & limits.
parsed in your browser, the file stays with you
only what the knowledge base tracks, scoped to you
oriented and weighted by published effect sizes
verified against the record, audited by hand
Your browser reads the raw file on your own device. We only ever receive the ~600 markers your report needs, well under a megabyte, scoped to your account and deletable in one click.
The raw file is read in your browser and never uploaded. Only the markers your report needs reach our servers.
Delete your markers and account in settings. They are erased at once and for good.
The bundle lives on your device. Your AI conversations never pass through us.
We never feed your data into model training or sell datasets downstream, anonymized or otherwise.
Read the full Privacy Policy and Terms. How we read your DNA, what we combine, and what we refuse to claim is written out in Methods & limits.
Helisoma translates peer-reviewed population research into a personal summary. The insights are statistical associations, tendencies, not certainties. Most effects are small nudges. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. This is not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before making health, diet, supplement, or medication decisions.
Most DNA upload sites take your whole genome file and keep it on their servers. Helisoma was built the other way around.
| Typical upload site | Helisoma | |
|---|---|---|
| Your raw file | Uploaded and stored on their servers | Read in your browser, never uploaded |
| What leaves your device | The entire genome file | Only the ~600 markers the report uses |
| Evidence | Varies, often unsourced | Every finding links its study |
| Price | Subscriptions and upsells | Free analysis, then $49 once |
| Your AI | Rarely supported | ChatGPT and Claude connect live, any AI reads the PDF |

Your browser finds the ~600 markers that have replicated research behind them and orients each genotype to the allele the studies measured, so a result is never read backwards. Each marker is matched against 1,190 curated evidence entries, effect sizes are applied, and markers on the same topic are combined into one plain-language answer, with how big the effect is and a link to every study. It is educational, not a diagnosis.
Several sites accept raw DNA files, among them Helisoma, Promethease, SelfDecode and Genomelink. The big difference is what happens to the file: most upload it and keep it on their servers. Helisoma reads it in your browser, so it never leaves your device. See our comparison of DNA upload sites.
Your raw file is never uploaded at all. Your browser reads the file on your own device and sends only the small set of markers the report uses, well under a megabyte. We never receive or store the raw file, and you can delete your data at any time. More in how your DNA stays in your browser.
Files from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA and Genotek all work, in .txt, .csv or .vcf, zipped or gzipped as they come. The parser handles each provider’s format and strand quirks automatically. Not sure what your test actually read? See chip or full sequence.
Yes. Drop it in the free analysis on this page. Your browser reads it on your device and shows which test it came from and how many markers it could read, before anything is sent. A file that will not open gets a plain explanation of why.
The knowledge base covers 128 topics across five areas: 49 in nutrition, 29 in body and fitness, 22 in health and longevity, 18 in brain and mind and 10 in sleep, plus a lab tests page. How many reach your report depends on which markers your test covers.
Yes. ChatGPT and Claude connect live and read your report themselves whenever a question needs it. In Gemini or Whoop Coach you attach the report PDF to a chat and keep asking there.
No. We do not sell personal data, we never possess your raw file in the first place, and deleting your account removes the extracted markers and reports we hold for you.
AIYour AI can be your trainer, nutritionist, sleep coach and doctor's-visit helper, all reading the same data: wearables, food log, lab results and your DNA.
FitnessCOL5A1 and TNC variants shift how resilient connective tissue tends to be. What a meta-analysis actually shows about soft-tissue injuries, and what a runner should do with a strain lean.
Consumer DNA chips are excellent at common variants and unreliable at rare ones: a clinical lab found 40% of rare raw-data findings were false positives. Here is where the line runs and how to stay on the right side of it.
